Ren Bannerman
Canyonview Equestrian Center and College Director, Instructor

Ren is a graduate of Warren Wilson College with a BA in Recreation. He is a CHA Master Instructor and CHA Clinic Instructor for Standard and Combined Clinics. Ren has more than 35 years of experience showing, teaching, training, and managing facilities throughout the United States. Ren has gained experience in all aspects of the horse industry and has worked with some of the country's leading experts.


Sherilyn Sander
Canyonview Equestrian College Dean of Students, Instructor

Sherilyn is a graduate of the University of Idaho with a BS in Animal Science with a major in Agribusiness, and is also a graduate of CEC. She is a CHA Master Instructor and CHA Clinic Instructor for Combined and Standard clinics, CHA Site Visitor, a past CHA Board Member, and past CHA Vice President. She has 20 years of teaching experience. Even more than teaching she loves to invest her life in the students.


Melissa Bannerman 
Canyonview Equestrian College Instructor

Melissa is a graduate of Oregon State University and has a BA degree in Business. She is a CHA Master Instructor, CHA Assistant Clinic Instructor for Standard clinics, and a CHA Recreational Vaulting Clinic Instructor. She has 15 years of teaching experience. Melissa is also currently working toward her USDF Instructor Certification.


Dale Price
Canyonview Ministries Director

Dale is a graduate of Oregon State University. He has been the Executive Director for over 30 years. He is the Past-President of the NW Section of Christian Camp and Conference Association. Dale is a sought after speaker for retreats, school chapels and Christian functions. He is a retired Colonel from the US Army Reserve. He is an elder for the First Baptist Church of Silverton.


Scott Heil
Horsemanship Camp Program Director

Canyonview welcomes Scott Heil and his wife Charlene to the Equestrian Center. Scott is filling the position of Horsemanship Camp Program Director as Jennifer Walker, who served for 2 years in this capacity, is pursuing her Master’s degree at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

Scott graduated from Western Oregon University with a BS in Business and he comes to Canyonview with a broad range of experience in horses and Christian Camping.  

Scott enjoys watching campers improve their horsemanship abilities and grow in their relationship with God. Scott is excited about the upcoming Fall Season of Fellowship Riding Lessons as well as the Weekend Camps. Jim Krieg
Operations Director

Jim has a Master's Certificate from Canyonview Bible Seminary. He worked in Canyonview's camping program for 15 years and taught seminary classes in Bible and Greek. Jim has also been the farrier and was a CHA certified riding instructor at Canyonview. He was a teaching pastor at Grace Bible Fellowship of Silverton for 10 years.
